We had a wonderful dinner together at the Lumbrosos' home for Rosh Hashana. Jenny made some absolutely fabulous chicken breasts in white wine, Beverly delighted us with her glazed carrots, and Jerry brought some nice wine. Christine made the round yummy Challah, and salad and it was a wonderful time of fellowship. After dinner, while still at the table, Patrick shared a prayer meant to be reflective of our hidden sins and we each took a stone, determined to throw these weaknesses in the river!
Honey Cake, and Apples and Honey
Karen made a wonderful "Honey Cake" and added her artistic touch with a shofar and "Shana Tova" (Happy New Year) written in Hebrew. Apples and Honey were in abundance as well as a prayer that each one have a very sweet new year to come.
